Allen-Bradley 2711P-RBB12 OIT Replacement Bezels

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RBB12, also cataloged as the 2711P-RBB12 Replacement Bezel Assembly, operates as a dedicated hardware accessory for mechanical protection and structural retention within PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE 1250 Keypad and Keypad/Touch Terminal platforms.

Hardware Specifications

Backplane Communication and I/O Density Scaling

The component serves as the primary structural housing frame, maintaining precise alignment between the display overlay, keypad membrane, and internal logic modules across industrial network architectures. Engineered to support optimal I/O density scaling on the front operator interface, the bezel maintains uniform gasket pressure against control enclosure surfaces to preserve environmental ingress protection. Robust firmware flash compatibility and data communication buses remain unaffected by the physical housing structure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What specific operator interface terminals are compatible with the 2711P-RBB12 bezel?

A: This replacement bezel is engineered exclusively for Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE 1250 terminals featuring standalone keypad or combined keypad and touch screen configurations.

Q: Does the replacement bezel include electronic display panels or membrane touch overlays?

A: No. The 2711P-RBB12 is a purely mechanical bezel assembly and does not include internal logic boards, LCD display units, or membrane switch overlays.

Field Installation Guidelines

Ensure all electrical power to the PanelView Plus terminal is disconnected and locked out before attempting maintenance or bezel replacement. Remove the terminal from the panel cutout, loosen the internal retaining clips or screws securing the old bezel, and carefully detach the housing while protecting internal ribbon cables. Align the new 2711P-RBB12 bezel assembly evenly over the display chassis and torque mounting fasteners progressively to ensure uniform compression of the environmental sealing gasket.
