Description
To program a memory module, refer to your programming software user manual or help resource. Follow this procedure to program a memory module.
1. Set the memory module configuration bits (S:1/10 to S:1/12) in your offline program file. Refer to SLC 500 Instruction Set Reference Manual, publication 1747-RM001, for details on the Memory Module Configuration Bits.
2. Download your program file to your processor.
3. Go online with the processor and burn the program to the EEPROM memory module (per the instructions outlined in your programming software user manual or help resource)
The1747-L531has standard battery-supported RAM and flash back-up memory. The1747-L531has an 8K words user memory: 4K words for data and program and 4K words for data only. The backplane current for the1747-L531at 5V is 500mA and at 24V is 175 mA. The CPU requires 1ms for program scan time and 0.225ms for I/O scan time. Additionally, the1747-L531has a maximum of 480 local analog I/O.With the1747-L531, it is easy to incorporate a 1747-SN remote I/O scanner module. This will aid in configuring I/O on a universal remote I/O link. Another option is to add the 1747-SDN DeviceNet module to ease the configuration of I/O on a DeviceNet network.Between communication channels, the1747-L531has 500V DC isolation and 1500V AC isolation between the backplane and the I/O. In addition, the CPU has a dielectric withstand rating of 1500V AC and has the EN50082-2 and EN50081-2industrial emission certification.
