Description
The 1756-OB16E is a fused DC output module. It is manufactured and created by Allen-Bradley. It comes from the ControlLogix family of input/output modules. It has 16-point fused o/p with 8 points in each group. It has a maximum operating voltage of 31.2 Volts DC and a minimum operating voltage of 10 Volts DC. It comes with a backplane power rating of 1.32 Watts and it draws 250 mA of current at 5.1 Volts and it draws 2 mA of current at 24 Volts. It has 250 Volts of continuous isolation voltage. The 1756-OB16E has an open-type enclosure. It comes with 2 removable terminal blockhouses. It comes mounted with a ControlLogix chassis. The module should be properly grounded before installation.
The 1756-OB16E uses an RXLogix 5000 software that comes bundled with it for programming. It can program the module from program state to fault state, or output state in the fault mode or program mode. It can handle multiple output densities and it has editable states. It also supports both isolated and non-isolated output modules. It provides on/off detection and it also provides actuation. The 1756-OB16E provides real-time channel sampling and it offers electronic module keying which is configured by the users. It can also timestamp various series of events during operation. It offers enhanced input/output diagnostics to determine both system and field failures. It has another security feature that can encrypt important information that is shared between controllers and servers to prevent information tampering. It comes pre-calibrated so it does not require onsite field calibration.
