ABB RED670 Device Description

RED670 Intelligent microcomputer protection device is designed for the protection, monitoring and control of overhead lines and cables. It can protect up to 5 ends of branch lines. Phasing line differential protection in RED670 can reliably achieve single-phase/two-phase/three-phase tripping and automatic reclose (with synchronous and synchronous inspection functions). In addition, RED670 is also suitable for the protection of line transformer and generator transformer sets. Its powerful protection library and extensible hardware architecture can meet your specific requirements.

Selection switch can replace external mechanical selection switch, through which switch position selection can be directly realized. For example, the automatic recloser mode of RED670 can be selected in single-phase/three-phase/single-phase or three-phase modes. In addition to the HMI of the device, the user can operate these switching functions through the remote system.

RED670 is specifically designed for communications.
