Description
The TU838 MTU supports up to 16 I/O channels with a maximum rated voltage of 50 V and a maximum rated current of 3 A per channel. It distributes the ModuleBus signal to both the connected I/O module and the next MTU in the chain. Additionally, it generates the correct address for each I/O module by shifting outgoing position signals to subsequent MTUs.
The MTU is designed for easy installation on a standard DIN rail and features a mechanical latch that securely locks the unit in place.
Configuration
Two mechanical keys configure the MTU for various types of I/O modules. This configuration is purely mechanical and does not affect the functionality of the MTU or the I/O module. Each key has six positions, allowing for a total of 36 different configurations.
