The TU810/TU810V1 is a compact, 16-channel, 50 V Module Termination Unit (MTU) designed for use with the S800 I/O system. It is a passive interface unit used to connect field wiring to I/O modules and includes part of the ModuleBus.
Key Functions

Distributes the ModuleBus to both the connected I/O module and the next MTU in the chain.

Generates the correct I/O module address by shifting position signals to the next MTU.

Provides mechanical keying to ensure correct I/O module insertion (purely mechanical, does not affect functionality).
