The 1756-L1M3 is a full-scale Allen Bradley controller with 2 MB of user memory. This controller belongs to the ControlLogix 5550 series and has 150 KB of I/O memory. However, the 1756-L1M3 does not come with non-volatile memory or an enclosure system. Installing the Controller into the Chassis
With the ControlLogix controller installed, you can:
1. Place the controller in any slot.
2. Use multiple controllers in the same chassis.

Repeated arcs cause excessive wear on the contacts of both the module and its mating connector. Worn contacts can create electrical resistance that can affect the operation of the module.
1. Insert the key into the controller.
2. Turn the key to the PROG position.
3. Align the circuit board with the guides on the top and bottom of the chassis.
4. Slide the module into the chassis and make sure it is flush with the module
The power and other modules are engaged with the top and bottom latches.
