Updating the ControllerTip

RSLogix 5000 software, version 10.0 and later allows you to update the controller firmware as part of the download sequence. To update your controller, download the project, and follow the software prompts.

1. Connect the controller or chassis to the same network as your workstation.

2. Launch the ControlFLASH software.

3. Click on Next.

4. Select the controller catalog number and click Next.

5. Expand the network until you see the controller.

6. Select the controller and click OK.

7. Select the revision level to update the controller

Click on Next.

8. To start updating the controller, click Finish and then Yes.

When the controller is updated, the status box will show "Updated"

complete.

9. Click OK.

10. To close the ControlFLASH software, click Cancel and then OK.
