Description
1771–IAN ac input module is a sinking input and requires a source output. A sinking input provides a path to ground and a source output provides a positive voltage path. You must use this module in a series B 1771 I/O chassis. Do not place this module in the same I/O chassis as the 1771–IX thermocouple module. You can use this module in the same chassis as the 1771–IXE thermocouple module.
The 1771–IAN module is not compatible with 2–slot addressing. You must use 1–slot addressing with restrictions or 1/2–slot addressing with no restrictions. This module has input filtering to limit the effect of voltage transients caused by contact bounce and/or electrical noise.

The minimum configuration of a PLC-5/1771 control system consists of a programmable controller module and some input/output modules mounted on a rack, power supply modules, etc. Controllers with communication ports can be selected as needed. The PLC-5 can reach up to 512 input and output points. All PLC-5 processors come with a remote I/O interface. Some PLC-5 processors come with a local extended I/O interface. Some PLC-5 processors come with a local extended I/O interface. Some PLC-5 processors come with the ControlNet communication interface. If you want to provide the DeviceNet(device network) Input-Output scanner port for the system, you must add a device network scanner module (1771-SDN).
