Allen Bradley 1794-OB16 Digital Output Module

The 1794-OB16 Output Module has a maximum off-state leakage current of 0.5 milliamps and a maximum signal delay time of 0.5 milliseconds from off to on and one of 1.0 milliseconds from on to off. Like every Flex I/O module, the 1794-OB16 Output Module requires an external 24 Volts DC rated power source for operation. It has an acceptable operating voltage range of 18 to 31.2 Volts DC with 80 milliamps of maximum Flexbus current at 5 Volts DC, and a maximum power dissipation rating of 5.3 Watts at 31.2 Volts DC. The 1794-OB16 Output Module is installed on a terminal base with the adapter/power supply module, and it supports only the following Flex I/O terminal base units: the 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3,1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3K, and the 1794-TB3SK. The 1794-OB16 Output Module has 16 yellow status indicators that show the field-side status of each output channel, and it comes with an open-style design.

This module provides 16 non-isolated current sourcing output channels in 2 groups of 8 channels each, with an on-state voltage range of 10 Volts DC to 31.2 Volts DC and an on-state current range of 1.0 milliamp to 500 milliamps per channel. The 1794-OB16 Output Module has an aggregate module output current capacity of 8 Amps (0.5 Amps per channel), and it has a maximum surge current rating of 2 Amps per channel for 50 milliseconds, and this is repeatable every 2 seconds. None of the 1794-OB16 Output Module’s outputs are fused, but it is recommended to use fuses to protect each output from over-currents by using the SAN-OS MQ4 800-milliamp fuses.
