About Allen Bradley 2711P-RC3 Card
The 2711P-RC3 is an External CF Memory Card with 256MB capacity manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This is a portable flash memory mass storage device used with PanelView Plus or PanelView Plus CE terminals. There are three CF memory cards available for this purpose; the 2711P-RC3 unit is middle-sized one. This item is designed to work in harsh industrial environments and using CF cards from other manufacturers may result in unpredictable behavior of the terminal. It is built on NAND technology and comprises error checking and correcting that re-reads the block when an error is detected.
The is inserted into the terminal from its backside. To install the card, follow the pointing arrow symbol on the card to insert the card correctly. To take the card out of the slot press eject button; with a PanelView Plus 400 or PanelView Plus 600 terminal, this procedure is done without eject button. After ejecting the card, pull the card away from the slot with your fingers. This CF card interface is a 50-pin female connector that is a subset of the 68-pin PCMCIA connector, explaining how it can easily connect to a PC over the Allen-Bradley’s 2711P-RCH adapter. The 2711P-RC3 is delivered with dimensions of 43 × 36 × 3.3 millimeters. The card can be used at 0 to 55 degrees Celsius (32 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. The CF card weighs 0.03 kilograms. This card should be stored in a dark place and be kept away from liquids when not being used.
PanelView Plus Compact Overview
The PanelView Plus Compact terminals are similar to some PanelView Plus terminal configurations but with limited hardware and software functions. Major differences of the compact terminals include:
•Fixed hardware configuration, without the addition or replacement of modular components.
•Serial and Ethernet communication only.
•Connection to a single logic controller using either RSLinx Enterprise or KEPServer Enterprise software, not both.
•Limited number of displays and alarms in the FactoryTalk View Machine Edition (ME) application and runtime software.
•FactoryTalk ViewPoint software is not supported.
•Primary HMI for CompactLogix controllers.
