The FBI10E Fieldbus isolator allows the control processor 60 (CP60) to communicate with the Fieldbus modules in the form of Y modules (FBM01, FBM02, etc.). It can convert between the 10 Mbps Ethernet Fieldbus signal used by CP60 and the HDLC signal used by the Y-module shape FBM.

FBI10E supports up to 24 FBMs to provide electrical isolation between Ethernet Fieldbus and FBM.

The size of FBI10E is half of the Y-type module, which can be directly installed in the field cabinet 4 or 1x8 FBM or 1x12 FBM installation structure. They can also be installed indirectly in industrial enclosures 16 and 32, industrial metal enclosures, or field enclosure 8 through Y-type adapters.

For redundant configuration, FBI10E is used in pairs, one for the "A" part of the redundant Fieldbus and the other for the "B" part.

The light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on the front panel of FBI10E provide a visual status indication of their respective functions.
