The backplane of the field signal is connected to a common termination assembly. The redundant control block interfaces with the input and/or output. A pair of FBM208b modules can only be installed in the 100 series migration installation structure together with two TAAs and the original FBM05 termination assembly and cables. Each redundant Fieldbus module independently attempts to maintain the output at its designated output value, and each independently reports its observed input value.

REDUNDANT READY FIELDBUS MODULES

Ready redundant Fieldbus modules can be used in non-redundant mode by installing a single module, or in redundant mode by installing two modules and a redundant adapter. These include FBM207, FBM207b, FBM207c, FBM217, FBM222, FBM228, FBM237 and FBM240. In both configurations, the modules are the same. In a redundant configuration, two individual modules are combined on the related backplane, and the field output signal is connected to a common termination assembly. The redundant control block interfaces with the input and/or output. Each redundant Fieldbus module independently attempts to maintain the output at its designated output value, and each independently reports its observed input value.
