GE Fanuc 90-30 IC693CHS397 must have a Power Supply plugged into the left slot.
A CPU module (or a special Option module) must be installed in Slot 1 of the baseplate.
Expansion and Remote baseplates are supported on the GE IC693CHS397.
Description IC693CHS397
The GE Fanuc IC693CHS397 CPU baseplate is a baseplate from GE Series 90-30 and it is made to host modular CPUs or central processing units from the same series.
The IC693CHS397 baseplate has 5 slots for installing a variety of CPUs and other devices that make up a complete PLC or programmable logic controller.
Technically, the GE Fanuc IC693CHS397 baseplate has 6 slots total, not just 5, but the first slot on the left is not numbered because it is always and only used for hosting power supply modules.
This power supply slot is a different size and shape than the 5 slots that are numbered, and its size and shape can only accommodate a power supply and nothing else.
The 5 main slots in the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693CHS397 5-slot CPU baseplate include 1 CPU slot which gives the baseplate its name and 4 non-CPU slots that can host I/O modules.
There is also an I/O expansion bus connector at the far right edge of the IC693CHS397 baseplate that can be used to expand the I/O communication capabilities of the baseplate beyond what the 4 I/O slots can handle.
