Description
To operate field devices with the GE Fanuc IC693MDL240, the user must supply power. The module needs AC power as it cannot operate with direct current. On top of the module, there are LEDs.
The module is compatible with the Series 90-30 PLC system and so users are able to install it any I/O slot of either a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate.There are two horizontal rows on the LED block, each with eight green LEDs. The top row is labeled A1 and is for points 1 through 8. The bottom row is labeled B1 and is for points 9 through 16.When there is current traveling into an input point, there will be a reading of logic 1 in the input status table (%I). The input module is functional with a range of different input devices. For example, the user can operate it with limit switches or pushbuttons, as well as electronic proximity switches.
