The IS220UCSAH1A is a Processor/Controller created by General Electric for the Mark VI system. Designed to manage gas or steam turbines, the Mark VI platform was released by GE as part of the Speedtronic line. It features an HMI (human-machine interface) with software designed for running heavy-duty turbines, such as the CIMPLICITY graphics interface.

The IS220UCSAH1A is built as a single boxed component with a front faceplate to allow for the connection of communications, two screw mounts on the rear edge, and grill openings on three sides to allow for airflow. The controller is designed for base-mounting within a cabinet. Up to three components can be mounted adjacent to each other for a compact arrangement that easily serves triple-redundant systems.

Mark VIe Controllers Tips

GE Energy began production of Mark VIe controls for the turbine, safety, and plant applications in 2004. Depending on requirements, the control platform used a UCCA or UCCC controller as a centralized hub for processing and communication to local processors on distributed I/O modules, operatorstations, and related control systems. The UCCA/UCCC controllers were implemented using CompactPCI?mounting racks for the controller boards, power supplies, and fans. As the technology evolved, GE migrated away from the UCCA/UCCC controller to a stand-alone controller board product line, known as the UCSA or UCSB controller.
