IC200ALG620-DC GE Analog input 16 bit RTD 4 Channel

IC200ALG620 is a VersaMax analog input RTD module, which can receive 16-bit resolution input signals from up to 4 RTDs. Like many modules, LED indicators are standard and can indicate normal operation, updates, errors, or insufficient power on the backplane. Automatic A/D calibration occurs at power-up and is repeated periodically to account for changes in the ambient temperature around the module. The RTD input module provides four words on the input data and is compatible with many PLC CPU and NIU versions of version 1.10 or higher in most cases.

The uniqueness of IC200ALG620 is that it does not require an external power supply because when configured as an RTD type, the module will provide excitation current for the RTD. The RTD analog input module allows inputs from four independent three-wire or four-wire RTDs. These can be platinum, nickel/iron, nickel, or even copper, depending on user preferences and availability.

Specific features of IC200ALG620 include optional resistance measurement in tenths of degrees or ohms. The single-channel configuration has an optional resistance range of 0-500 or 0-3000 ohms. High/low, disconnection, over/out of range, and input short circuit alarm reports are also standard. IC200ALG620 provides two data acquisition rates based on 50 or 60 Hz line frequency.

According to user needs, each channel in the IC200ALG620 module can be configured as inactive or active. However, if the channel is inactive, it will remain unscanned and set it to a zero value. The user can also choose to set the alarm limits within the provided range or beyond, so they will never be activated. After installation, loop power is not required, but the cable should be grounded at the source device or I/O module using auxiliary I/O terminals. Depending on how the module is installed and how the module is used, different types of grounding or settings may be required.
