IC695CPU310 has an Intel Celeron (Pentium III) microprocessor with 10 MB of RAM and 10 MB of flash memory. It is a 300 MHz central processing unit of the GE Fanuc RX3i Series. RX3i CPU is programmed and configured by programming software to control the machine, process, and material handling system in real-time. It also has a pair of embedded serial ports for RS-232 and RS-485 communication. Both ports face the front of the chassis for easy operation. IC695CPU310 supports three different serial protocols (Modbus RTU slave, SNP, and serial I/O), all of these protocols are used in conjunction with programmable logic controllers to construct the way that PLC provides information: IC695CPU310 uses SNP slave Protocol and HMI communication (human-machine interface) equipment.
Product documentation can remind you of the meaning of the color and status of the LED, but the CPU follows accepted conventions: a flashing or red indicator light indicates system failure, and a steady green color indicates normal operation. The eight LED indicators on the front of the chassis allow you to check the system status at a glance, so you can judge whether the CPU, battery, and communication channels are working as expected.
The dual-backplane bus architecture supports the use of RX3i PCI and GE Fanuc series 90-30 serial buses. The CPU itself supports up to 512 program blocks, and the maximum size of each program block is 128 KB. You can use a ladder diagram, structured text, or function block diagram programming language to program it. You can also program in C.
