C300 controller is a powerful controller of the Honeywell C series. When the controller is powered on, it will automatically perform a series of tasks. It mainly includes the following three steps:

1.Self-check (POST) to verify the existence of the C300 controller and test the integrity of the hardware.

2.Initialize the software and hardware environment.

3.Decide whether the controller enters the application state.

The following is a summary of the startup and self-test (POST) process after the C300 controller is powered on.

1.When the C300 controller is plugged into a live IOTA backplane, the power LED will light up, and when the controller starts, it will load the firmware installed in the flash memory before leaving the factory.

2.When the C300 controller is powered on, it will perform a power-on self-test. The display will show the test code currently undergoing power-on self-check.

3.The LED indicator lights on the C300 controller will temporarily display all colors (red, green, orange), and then will remain red until the power-on self-test is over.

4.Some horizontal and vertical lines will appear on the display of the controller, and the display will be all bright.

5.The progress of the power-on self-check will be displayed on the display of the C300 controller. If an error occurs during the power-on self-test, the self-test will stop, and then the relevant fault code will be displayed on the panel.

How to deal with the error: If an error occurs and the power-on self-check stops, you can restart the controller at this time and perform the power-on self-check again. If the error still exists, replace the controller with a new one.

6.If the controller self-check is normal, the C300 controller will decide whether to enter the application mode or the startup mode. If there happens to be an available application image in the C300 controller at this time, the C300 controller will enter the application mode.

7.When the C300 controller is waiting for the BootP server service, the words "-bp" will be displayed on the controller display panel. BootP server provides the IP address of the controller and the IP address of the clock server. If the C300 controller does not receive a response from the BootP server within 2 minutes, the C300 controller will display a timeout.

8.After the C300 controller receives the BootP server's response, "-TS-" will be displayed on the display of the controller, indicating that the controller is waiting for the response of the configured clock source. If the configured clock source is not available, the controller will try to connect to another clock source. If an available IP address is assigned to the controller, then the redundant C300 controller will communicate with its spare parts in master and slave.

9.The C300 controller will alternately display Device Index, redundant information, and operating status on its display.
