The Schneider Electric TSXAEY810 is an 8-channel low-level analog input module for the Modicon Premium automation platform. Designed for high-accuracy process monitoring and control, it converts standard industrial voltage and current signals into 16-bit digital values. The module connects to field wiring via a 25-pin SUB-D connector and features robust channel-to-channel isolation to prevent ground loops in noisy industrial environments.
Signal Processing and Multi-Range Inputs
Each of the 8 channels supports selectable voltage (±10 V, 0–10 V, 0–5 V, 1–5 V) and current (0–20 mA, 4–20 mA) ranges. Digital resolution is fixed at 16 bits across all input modes. Analog-to-digital conversion provides a nominal read cycle time of 29.7 ms for all active channels, or a fast scan mode calculated at 3.3 ms plus 3.3 ms per active channel.
Signal Isolation and Environmental Protection
The TSXAEY810 features 1000 Vrms isolation between channels and the backplane bus, as well as between channels and protective earth. Channel-to-channel isolation is rated at ±200 V. Built-in protection circuits safeguard the inputs against transient overvoltages (up to ±30 V) and overcurrent conditions (up to ±30 mA).
